The Department of Natural Resources and Environment, NRE, Hydrology Division 11, monitors water quality in the Mun River at Ban Buathong Station, Sawang Wirawong District, Ubon Ratchathani Province, and in the Mekong River at Khemarat/Lad Charoen Station, Khemarat District, Ubon Ratchathani Province.
On July 13, 2026, Mr. Jiravit Utsah, Director of the Regional Water Resources Office 11. Assigned to the Hydrology Division staff (Ubon Ratchathani). Monitoring activities for water quality were conducted at high-frequency water quality monitoring stations (HFWQ Stations) on the Mekong River, specifically at the Khemarat/Lad Charoen station in Khemarat District, Ubon Ratchathani Province. A survey of the Mekong River and the Mun River was also conducted at the Ban Bua Thong station in Sawang Wirawong District, Ubon Ratchathani Province. Water samples were sent to the Water Quality Analysis Section, Research, Development and Hydrology Division, Department of Water Resources, for further water quality analysis.
